There are no detailed requirements for the service life of steel structure workshops in the relevant regulations. However, during the structural design, the load statistical value with a basic period of 50 years is basically selected according to the load specification. This means that the probability of a normally designed steel structure being damaged due to excessive load within 50 years is very small.Generally speaking, if the construction engineering grade of a steel structure workshop is level 2, the design service life is 50 years, and the seismic fortification intensity is 7 degrees. Because once the steel structure is corroded, the mechanical properties of the structure will be difficult to guarantee. The steel structure design specification stipulates that steel structures that have been used for more than 25 years must have better anti-corrosion measures. In addition, for light steel structure factory workshops, the quality assurance of those components such as plates by the supplier is generally about 10 years.
- Check for cracks, looseness, breakage and other phenomena in the connections such as welds, bolts, rivets and so on.
- Check excessive local deformation of each rod, web, connecting plate and other components, for any damage phenomenon.
- Check for abnormal deformation of the whole structure, and see whether it exceeds the normal deformation range.
